Local Lodging

There are several hotels and B&Bs near the center. Some are within walking distance. Email the office for an up-to-date list.

Dining

There are many places to eat near the Center serving a variety of dietary preferences and budgets. Some are within walking distance of the Center. Downtown Decatur has a wide variety of offerings all within the small area of a few blocks.

There are also grocery stores nearby, including health food stores. For recommendations, call the Center office or ask one of the staff members at an event.

Atlanta Area Location & Directions

The Center is located in Decatur, just south of the intersection of North Decatur Rd. and Church St., near the Dekalb Medical Center. For directions from various locations please call the center at 404-370-9650, press Option 2. Or use Google Maps to get directions from your location.

Trains are available from the Airport to Decatur. See the MARTA train schedule and routes here. View the Map showing the route from the Decatur MARTA train station to the Shambhala Center here. The walk is just over a mile on a sidewalk, albiet along a busy street. Cabs are usually available just outside the station.
