Meditation Instruction Programs

"Our life is an endless journey... The practice of meditation provides a vehicle to travel on that road."
- Chögyam TrungpaIntoductory Meditation Programs

In shamatha or peaceful abiding meditation, we train our minds in clarity, stability and strength. People of all faiths and endeavors find mindfulness training beneficial. Our meditation instructors are experienced practitioners, thoroughly trained to provide guidance, support and direction to aspiring meditators.

In our introductory programs, everyone receives the basic tools for meditation. Programs typically include open talks, mediation practice, group discussions and personal interviews. Group meditation instruction is offered free of charge, twice a week at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Atlanta.
